Four yoga poses to impress women

May 13, 2012 | No Comment |

For those who still think yoga is only for women or Oprah-watching men, here is an eye opener: there are more than a few athletes in the NBA and football and other manly sports who regularly practice yoga to complement their training. One of the most popular of them is Kobe Bryant, who says yoga enhances his power and stamina. To top it up, there are also yoga poses which would make any woman drool over you. If you go to a yoga class and practice these poses, you are more than likely to become the most talked about and vaunted man among the women. So what are these poses? There is a long list of them, but in this article we will look at only four of them:

Impress women

1. HALASANA or The Plough

It’s perhaps taken straight from the Hindu book of sex Kamasutra. This is called ‘the plough’ because in this pose your body pose resembles a hal or plough. It’s performed with a person lying on the ground on his neck and shoulders, arms parallel and touching the ground at back and your legs in front of you.

HMMM… Factor: First of all because it’s not easy to do. Being able to do this shows your flexibility and athleticism. Secondly this pose showcases your butts and it’s no secret how much woman love to glare at a male butt.

2. USTRASANA or The Camel

In this posture you have to kneel down with your body leaning backwards and hands touching the toes.

HMMM… Factor: This pose highlights your upper body, showing the bulge at front which is impossible to go unnoticed.

3. URDHVA UPAVISHTA KONASANA or The Upright Seated Angle

To perform this yoga, you have to stretch your legs upwards after sitting on the floor while not losing your balance. Then you have to touch your toes while maintaining balance all this time.

HMMM… Factor: It’s clear even at first glance how difficult the balancing act must be for this pose. As if that wasn’t attractive in itself, the imagery it projects on closer look is very seductive.

4. NATARAJA ASANA or The Nataraja Pose

Named after the Hindu god of dance, this pose involves standing on a leg while stretching the second leg upwards and backwards, bending it and touching the toes of the raised leg with one hand. The other arm is stretched forwards.

HMMM… Factor: This fairly common yoga pose is used by dancers and gymnasts all over the world just before performing to improve their performance. If you can do it well, you can expect that too!
